Text reminder- Only allow confirmation
It would be better if text reminders did not allow for cancellations or confirmations, rather they have to call in to cancel, and it is assumed that they are going to show up for their appointment. The call would allow for rescheduling. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy and I cannot tell if they cancel 6 hours before or 18 hours before. Other programs that have appointment reminders only remind the patient of their visit. Additional text messaging would be beneficial 60 minutes prior to the visit to gently remind the patient of their visit. A reschedule appointment text message 30 minutes after a missed appointment would be very useful as well.

This is a very necessary change, as those last minute cancellations hurt our bottom line, and even though we can charge (and DO charge) for them, often times those charges do not get paid by those patients. Being able to customize our text reminders would be a game changer for these instances. -

ACmaybe allow them to cancel via text up to 12 hrs before. If they try to cancel in less than 12 hrs, provide an auto response that says they have to call to cancel/reschedule... or something along those lines. We've had patients cancel via text just minutes before their appt. It's frustrating.
I do like a text reminder one hour before the appt for some patients. Maybe add that as an opt-in for patients? -

LoriI'd like to see those upgrades, as well as an easy way to resend when we know that text message weren't done, for example, not 1 confirmation yes or no.

Long LifeWould love to see text that said to call office if need to cancel appointment. Would also be ok if no response allowed .. and we assume they are coming to appointment unless they have called to cancel ... We have found that it is too easy for people to cancel based on mood 24 hrs ahead of time .. where they might not cancel if they have to make the effort to call ...

We would like them to have to call the office for any changes that need to be made. Or at least give us the ability to customize how our text work. Also, the ability to add to the text would be nice Ex. cancellation/rescheduling/no show policy since we do charge for those things

CH MergedIt would be so nice to have the option to customize our Text reminders. We constantly have last minute cancellations (red dot) and those very spots could have gone to someone on our waiting list. We would love to have our no show fee and cancellation fee included in the reminder.
