Clear Indicator for Deceased patients when searching names
To avoid a difficult moment for patients who lost a loved one, it would be helpful to have a clear indicator that a patient is deceased when we're in the patient search AND creating a new appointment. The only current not-so-clear indicator of a deceased patient is: "there are no case details availble for this patient." Better would be a color code or a clearly written DECEASED next to the former patient's name when doing a patient search / pulling up names when creating a new appointment. It's happened several times when the office is busy and the scheduler quickly asks if the appointments are for Johnny and Jack but Jack has passed away causing heartache for Johnny because his son recenly passed away. 😢

Michelle MergedThere needs to be a way to make a deceased patient permanently inactive so they do not show up on patient lists that we use for birthdays. It is really hard to remember who has passed and who has not.

AC Mergedit seems the only thing you can do is mark a patient "inactive" as I don't see an option to mark a patient deceased.

Lori MergedI was under the impression, you mark people inactive, so they don't show up in searches, etc.
I find inactive (dead) people all the time, in active searches. I'd like the inactive people to be truly hidden from all searches, they are inactive for a reason! Thank you! -
