Patient statements - needs to be condensed, prints too many pages
The patient statements should be condensed. Spacing between charges, co, payments etc is too much causing multiple pages to print just for a couple dates of service. Need to fit as much info on one page as possible.

BrianKind of redundant here, but the new statement is not going to work for mailing statements. The Addresses are way too small and the CC info bleeds over into the envelop window. Would like them to be configured to #9 Double window security envelop like in the past.

KarenI can no longer use envelopes with windows for patient name and address. The font needs to be larger for the entire statement for people who can not read this small printing.

CarolStatements need to be simplified in regard to what has been paid and what is due. It is difficult to understand when one if familiar with billing, and nearly impossible for a patient to work their way through.

AliciaAnother vote for changing the statements to fit into a #10 envelope with a window. You can't just fold in thirds with this new version and it makes it much more time-consuming to have to fold over a half-inch or so in order to get the the address correct. And I also agree with the above poster that bills are too large and print too many pages than the previous version.

TJAgree with much of what is stated.
1. Make the addressee fit the window better.
2. Remove extra spacing in the summary areas. Less is better.
3. Also simplify the wording. Nobody knows what "COMM" payment is. Just make that "Insurance Payment". Change the "Charge exceeds fee sched" to "Write off".
4. The write in area for CC info seems outdated. We have ZERO patient who use this, I just cannot imagine many practices have patients hand writing their CC info on paper and mailing?? Not in todays world. That should either just be taken out or made an option to add in your statements if you want it. Would make the statements less busy.
5. Remove the "retain this for tax records". People who need it know to keep it.
6. Change website wording "Please visit following website to view & pay your bill online"
7. Do we have to have NPI and TaxID on statements? We dont put them on there. Again, would be 'less busy' and cleaner looking. -

JuditAgree with the above! Patient statements are not easy to decipher! I've sometimes given the patient a ledger as well as - or instead of the statement as it's easier to read. At times I've also made up a spreadsheet to show what was paid and what was applied.

ChelseaChange the total charged to the allowed amount from insurance, the amount we billed to insurance is insignificant to the patient. Anthem allowed is $36, so billed is $36, Insurance paid $18, and patient owes $18 can all fit on one line.
Statements are meant to be for the patient so it would be nice if it was set up with them in mind. -
